Momma
I only like babies once they've stopped being red and wrinkly. I'm not sure when this transition occurs but I only find them any way cute after a few months, when their skin is white and shiny, instead or red and wrinkly.

Me: "Oh right. Very good."
Susie"Have you ever put up wallpaper before?"
Me: "no"
Susie: "So you wouldn't know how to?"
Me: "No"

Me: *Guilt face
Men who are over 40 but still extremely attractive.....
Myself and my former housemates created this list drunkenly one night, as most lists how are created. It is added to regularly, and as soon as particularly handsome men turn 40 they are automatically added to the list. Paul Rudd being one notable example, who we had to wait a few months in anticipation.
It will be added to intermittently.
So far we have Tim Robbins, Hugh Laurie, Mark Wahlberg, John James Preston, Johnny Depp, Kevin Costner, John Cusack, Nicholas Cage, Tommy Lee Jones, and Harrison Ford.

Wise Words at unexpected times.
"We are to learn by interacting and making foolish mistakes, we learn quicker that way unfortunately, but it's a lot more exciting. With great risk comes great reward"
Someone told me this once. It came at an unexpected time. I'll never forget it though. Those words are something one should never forget.
Foy Vance
I first heard this guy when I found his song 'Homebird' on the Greys Anatomy Soundtrack. Since then it's been used on the Denny adverts so now
EVERYBODY loves him. Anyway, I found him singing what I think is my favourite song of all time. His face does look quite funny at times, but even so, I like it.

Shite & Daldroms.

This is Susie. My Grandmother. That's probably a glass of Vodka in her hand. She's a sucker for the old Vodka, Susie is. She spends a lot of time on her own, so occasionally I visit her. She sits and smokes, while I sit and read whatever paper is left over from Sunday. She is full of words of wisdom, although usually I don't take her advice. I remember last year when Michael Jackson died, she said "One minute he was black, the next he was white, but all I know is he was a powerful dancer". I don't even know how she knew who Michael Jackson was.
Shite & Daldroms
To this day I have no idea what that phrase means, but it is only said when things are going horribly wrong. Shite & Daldroms.
Her party piece is fortune telling. She'll carefully put on her reading glasses, grab a book from the shelf or drawer, ( the last time it was a pocket bible). She'll slowly grab the poor creatures hand and glance at his palm while making various facial expressions that could either signify death or happiness. When she has the person's, cynic or not, full attention, she'll say her phrase while pointing at the three crooked lines on the palm.
This is the line for happiness, this one is for sorrow, if you don't shite today, you'll be sure to shite tomorrow.
A Grey Suit & Matching Shoes

This is My Grandad, John-Joe. He died in 1998 when I was 9. I love hearing people talk about him, although it doesn't happen that often, probably because it's too painful.
I remember him dancing down the yard, while holding my brothers hand, and whistling to the tune on the local Radio Station which was blaring out from the warm kitchen.
I also remember him washing his feet in the kitchen sink.
He was a great funeral attender. If anybody in the vicinity died, he'd be at the funeral, on his own, just the mass though. He only had one suit. A suit he wore to every occasion, be it funeral or wedding. It was grey. It was unlike other mens suits, because it was a sort of light grey. It had a matching grey tie and fantastic leather-look, probably plastic shoes.
Susie, my grandmother, rarely talks about him. She did love him though, and admired him. Last year, she told us a story about how John-Joe would always get up first, light the fire, and put on the kettle. He used to say that when Susie smelled the tea she would wake up, because whenever she'd come downstairs, he'd have a cup of tea waiting for her.
They used to go to all the weddings together, she hasn't attended a single one since he died.

How to Care for Introverts.....
1. Respect their need for Privacy.
2. Never embarrass them in public.
3. Let them observe first in new situations.
4. Give them time to think. Don't demand instant answers.
5. Don't Interrupt them.
6. Give them 15 minute warnings to finish whatever they are doing before calling them to dinner or moving onto the next activity.
7. Reprimand them privately.
8. Teach them new skills privately rather than in public.
9. Enable them to find one best friend who has similar interests adn abilities, encourage this relationship, even if the friend moves.
10. Do not push them to make lots of friends.
11. Respect their introversion. Don't try to remake them into extraverts.
Eclipse...
Ok, So the only good things about the ridiculous Twilight franchise are the soundtracks to the movies. There are at least four of five lovely tunes on each album, the sorts that you could spend months trawling through Youtube's recommendations for. A lovely track from Florence & the Machine takes a while to get to know, but impossible to forget once you've listened to it a few times. I'll try to put together a list of the best ones...... In the mean time here's a nice song from the Eclipse Album.
Anya Marina- Satellite Heart.
Beck & Bat for Lashes-Lets get Lost.
The Black Keys-Chop and Change.
Blue Foundation-Eyes on Fire.
Ce lo Green- What Part of Forever.
Paramore-I Caught Myself.
Eastern Conference Champions-A Million Miles an Hour.
Editors-No Sound but the Wind.
Fanfarlo-Atlas.
Florence & the Machine-Heavy in Your Arms.
Grizzly Bear ft. Victoria Legrand- Slow Life.
Lykke Li-Possibility.
Hell is Other People....
"Hell is other people."Jean-Paul Sartre
It has clicked recently that I generally do not bode well to living with other people.
I'm a recluse.
