Florence Welch

Florence Welch at the Oscars last night, wearing Valentino and generally looking gorgeous.

Explorations of the Supernatural.

Photography by Tommy Nease.

A day in Dublin.

Overheard on the bus.

"A woman was breathless over me this morning.
For three hours she was breathless.
She had to stitch my skull closed again, and she was breathless.
I told her I appreciated it very much.
I looked into her face, and do you know what. She was beautiful.
Do you want to know what she said to me.
She said to me she never wanted to see me again.
In a good way.
She meant she never wanted to have to stitch up my skull again.
She was breathless for three hours as she sewed up my skull."

On the bus home this evening, there was a middle aged man sipping on a can of Druids. As the journey progressed, he began to talk to himself. It sounded like a sort of poetry, or rap. The bus driver apologised on the way out, for what we endured. To be honest, I kind of enjoyed listening to him.

Anatomy/Commodity

Design Project for aprons at the Science Gallery in Dublin. Presenting to a panel at the gallery on Friday morning.

Bought my first ever bath robe today, its fantastic. I feel like a lord, with my new cleanser and moisturiser, this is what I imagine a heath farm feels like.

However, every so often I feel like I should be on a maternity ward.

Oh Land

Never mind aurally pleasing, this girl is aesthetically pleasing. Nanna Øland Fabricius is the real name of Oh Land, and shes a singer, dancer, popster, from Denmark. You could watch her with the sound turned down and still enjoy it very much. She used to be a professional ballerina, but gave up due to injury. I just adore her hippy moves in this video. Aparently its live, but I have my doubts, i dont mind though, its so good, it could easily stand alone as a music video, nevermind a live recording.

Check out her website.

The Village People?

So I downloaded Villagers new album "Becoming a Jackal" and I must say I am so impressed. I'm a little bit in love with the lead guy Conor, I love the fact that he sings so clearly, you can understand every word he says, and avoid those embarassing moments when you hum the wrong lyrics to the song. Taking Villagers, Two Door Cinema Club, Ham Sandwich and Bellx1, Irish bands are really on fire at the moment.

"But faces change
And rooms they all get rearranged
And photographs
All fade away"
I use COURIER font in every single thing i do.

I wonder is this a bad thing.
